Dei Cavallini - Fara Doc - 2021

Item No.: DeiCavalini2021

A historic appellation from northern Piedmont, Fara embodies and enhances all the characteristics of the region's leading grape varieties: Nebbiolo, Vespolina, and Uva Rara.

The three grapes are harvested and pressed together, as per tradition. After a medium-long contact with the skins, the wine is aged for at least 18 months in used French oak barrels. The expression of the vineyard combined with winemaking practices that do not distort the soul of the vintage result in a wine that is highly sincere and territorial.

In the glass, it is brilliant, with Nebbiolo lending a subtle ruby note with classic garnet and orange reflections.

The nose is refined, with dark fruit, pulp and tobacco, and hints of sweet spices and damp earth.

The great sapidity on the palate is in harmony with small fruits, prunes and sweet liquorice. The tannins are long and smooth, taut and vibrant.
