Extended report from one of our customers
70% Barbera d'Asti - 30% Ruché de Castagnole Monferrato. Nose: dark, cherry tobacco and strawberry. On the palate: cherry, pepper, earthy, hint of strawberry. Doesn't have the assertive tannins nor hearty tobacco & black licorice notes of a good Nebbiolo that I prefer but this smooth Barbera is a pleasant every day, casual Piedmont red.
