Afrodite, an autoctone wine that expresses all its personality only with separate vinification. Delicate yet incisive, it is fresh and fruity and elevates contrasting aromas and spicy flavors. This wine embodies the goddess Aphrodite, who was forthright and tenacious; she married Hephaistos despite being in love with Ares, the Warrior God. At Zeus' command, she was taken with Hera and Athenas to Mount Ida. There Paris was called to judge the three women and choose the most beautiful; he chose Aphrodite who promised him the hand of Helena who was responsible for the Trojans' war.
Vineyard: vineyard San Giuseppe in the municipality of Sizzano, region of Noche and San Giuseppe for a total of 0.5 ha. South-south/west exposure.
Vine: 100% Vespolina grapes locally called Ughetta
Yield per hectogram: 60 Q.li
Vinification: manual harvest in cassettes in the third week of September. pressing and vinification in red, maceration in steel tanks for 5-6 days at controlled temperature with pumping every 8 hours. Malolactic in steel in December/January.
Aging and bottling: aging in steel for 9 months. End of summer bottling. Maturation in bottles for three / four months. r
Organoleptic characteristics: bright red, ruby red with violet reflections in early youth, intense and fine aroma continues with fresh fruit and final spices such as pepper and canella. On tasting it is intense, full-bodied, tasty with red fruit and with a discreet acidity, very persistent and pleasant finish.
