Profile: the first wine was produced in 2006. The average age of the vines is 15 years. The vineyard is hilly, is south-east/south-west in exposition and is 270-350 meters above sea level. The planting is Guyot training. The soil consists of kaolic clay. Harvest begins at the first week of October. Total production of this rosé is 5000 bottles per year.
Maturation: upon arrival at the cantina Tenuta Sella, the grapes are cooled. Very gentle pressing and destemming. There is no maceration except during the pressing. Fermentation in stainless steel vats at a temperature of 16 degrees. Battonage for 3 months.For five months the wine remains in inox barrels with manual battonage.
The rosé wine Majoli is made by macerating the must with the skins for 6 hours during pressing. This short maceration is typical of high-quality rosé wines, as it delicately extracts the color and aromas without compromising the freshness and finesse of the wine.
Nose: The nose reveals pleasant sensations of wild berries, lilacs, rose hips, fruit jelly and brushwood
Mouth: On the palate it is unmistakably fresh and savory, characterized by a pleasant fruity persistence on the finish.
Storage potential: 3 years from harvest
Pairing: Interesting when paired with numerous mixed hors d'oeuvres, especially the classic salads. Also excellent with tasty starters with fish and vegetables.
