Profile: The Timorasso grape is the most representative white variety of the Colli Tortonesi area; the Timorasso Riserva Amilia Scauri is its best representation. District of production is Viguzzolo and Vho di Tortona. Vineyard details : south-southwest exposition. Approximately 350-450 mt above sea level. Soil: Clay and sandy soil. Planting: Guyot with ten buds per plant 4,500 vines per hectare.
Aging: 24 to 30 months in inox vats, with fermentation longer than classic Derthona with residual sugar going to 0. After bottling, the wine remains in the cantina for at least 6 more months
Nose: mineral hints and aromas of ripe fruit, thyme and flint
Mouth: full-bodied white wine that surprises with its structure and freshness, with an incredibly long finish. This Timorasso can mature for years in your wine cellar
