Francesco, the winemaker himself says of this wine:
It is simply a wine with an extraordinary tendency to aging in its DNA, thanks to its solid tannin-based structure and high acidity. The persistence on the palate is really excellent".
"Oltre il Bosco" means "beyond the forest," a name that evokes a historical rivalry between the two municipalities of Suno, where our estate is located, and Ghemme. This piece of ancient forest forms a natural green dividing line between the two towns and was an inspiration for naming our Ghemme.
In fact, beyond that wood is where our vineyard is located and where the Nebbiolo D.O.C.G. grapes we produce come from.
Ghemme Oltre il Bosco is a Nebbiolo wine of ruby red color with garnet hues, best known for its bright print of red fruit, violet and spice, but also for its full-bodied and sapid flavor and development into an elegant, complex wine with amazing aging potential.
To fully enjoy this wine, we recommend maintaining a serving temperature of around 20°C and uncorking the bottle some time before drinking."

Profile: Alto Piedmont is an ancient region that exudes history, culture and traditions. It spans four provinces Biella, Vercelli, Novara and Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, with landscapes of unparalleled beauty, including the iconic Monte Rosa, the quintessence of our Alps, in the background. Although still little known, these lands have all the microelements and climate necessary to make the grapes we grow noble and our wines extraordinarily elegant and age-worthy.
The part of the hills in the province of Novara where the Nebbiolo grapes for our Ghemme are grown are of glacial origin and are formed by fluvial-alluvial sediments rich in loam and relatively acidic. Oltre il Bosco refers to the forest area located between the local towns of Suno and Ghemme. Our south-facing vineyard covers 1.25 hectares.
