It is a wine of great tradition and it is produced with selected grapes from varied vineyards located on the hills surrounding Gattinara. Their ideal location, soil composition and modern winemaking techniques contribute to the production of this harmonious and balanced wine with a distinctive and complex bouquet.
Borgofranco is dedicated to the town of Gattinara, symbol of freedom and autonomy from 1242 when it received the qualification "Borgo Franco" (free town) from the Republic of Vercelli. Independence was then repeatedly affirmed by both Viscontis and Savoias until the unification of Italy.

Palate: Deep, dry and full-bodied with the right amount of tannins and a typical bitter finish; wine has excellent structure and length.
Foodpairing: Excellent with appetizers and risotti, roasted meats and braised beef, game. Interesting with fermented cheeses, including the classic Parmigiano Reggiano
