Organic wine is on the fast train with success

Organic wine is on the fast train with success
BIOLOGICAL WINE takes the fast track to their target audience successfully
How do you recognise an organic wine?  This is by using the European organic label, namely the green square with the European logo for organic products. So you know for sure that the wine in your hand, of which you are studying the origin etc., is an organic wine.
What is different compared to traditional winegrowing?
An organic wine is made from grapes that are grown organically.  No chemical pesticides or artificial fertiliser may be used when growing organic grapes. Once harvested, no flavourings, aromas or colourings are used in the vinification process. Sulphite is allowed, but very little. During the fermentation process, a natural sulphite develops.
The success of organic wine
The winegrower who invests in organic winegrowing does not use chemicals or artificial fertiliser. As a result, the yield of the vineyard is smaller and more man hours are needed in the vineyard.  So choosing organic winegrowing, is also choosing for less income and more work. It is therefore logical that organic wines are a tad more expensive.
Deep roots are a must
Organic viticulture involves an active insect and plant life, which makes it much more difficult for the vine to obtain nutrients.  So deeper roots guarantee quality and balance in what will be harvested later: the grape.
Why choose organic winegrowing?
When you open an organic wine, you immediately know that it comes from people with an ideology that focuses on nature and what nature can offer us as humans. And this with great care, attention and respect for nature. Do you taste the difference between conventional and organic winegrowing? Not always, because the characteristics of the terroir will always prevail.
Organic wine in wine journalism
Wine journalists also have an eye for organic wines.
Podere ai Valloni, a wine estate located in Alto Piemonte, on ex volcanic soil, was visited by Antonio Galloni (Vinous) who was quite critical but did give a nice score.
