The "National Day of the Culture of Wine and Oil" was also on social media, marked by the Corona virus, 9 May, the day where Italy was one.
There were two live shows (11 a.m. and 3.30 p.m.), led by journalist Gianluca Semprini to pay homage to two iconic products of Made in Italy. The initiative is promoted by the Italian Sommelier Association (Ais) in collaboration with the Ministries of Agriculture, Food, Forestry and Tourism, Cultural Heritage and Activities, Education, University and Research, in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding (signed in 2018), with the Media Partnership of the Regional Journalist Magazine (Tgr). With a collective toast at 12.30 p.m. with the hashtag #risolleviamoicalici.
The call was to place a photo on their social profiles with the glass in hand, for a big flashmob of encouragement: a gesture that wants to be a wish for a quick resumption of activities for restaurateurs, producers and the whole chain of Italian food and wine. "That day - as the president of Ais Italia, Antonello Maietta, explains - will be devoted to the driving forces behind wine production at this difficult time, in order to continue to make Made in Italy great. The development of conscious tourism and full knowledge of the cultural and enogastronomic heritage, together with the determination of those who carry them out every day, will remain a fundamental incentive to get back on the road".
