Piedmont Wine Tastings near Durbuy
The spring and summer months are the time to descend region Durbuy, to enjoy nature in bloom, local slow food specialties AND wines.
With the niche market of Piedmont, region located in Northern Italy, we are somewhat geographically limited in what we let you taste in the glass .
What is certain is that you will see the passion, the know-how, the dynamism and the historical background of our 25 small-scale winemakers and their region seep into your memory in a fascinating 1.5-hour presentation.
Who is in charge of the spoken word during the tasting?
Karina Imschoot, ex-Piemontese and graduate of AIS - Associazione Italiana Sommelier - where since 1965 more than 40.000 sommeliers have been trained. The presentation can be given in Dutch, French, English and Italian.
Various theme tastings are possible including
White grape varieties from Piedmont with Timorasso, Nas-Cëtta, Arneis, Favorita, Erbaluce, and Riesling planted in Piedmont
Local Grape Varieties from Piedmont: Verduno Pelaverga, Vespolina, Freisa, Grignolino, Ruché, Uva Rara (all red )
Barbera - Summer BBQ wines: Barberas from Langhe versus Astigiano, versus Monferrato
Lesser known Nebbiolo docs and docg's: Ghemme, Gattinara, Fara, Boca, Sizzano, Bramattera and Lessona
Dates: for practical reasons we realize this only on weekend days from 11am to 5pm
Accessibility: from 1 person up to groups of 12 people. If groups do all choose the same formula.
Price: whatever the formula 25 € per person
