The Enrico Crola Winery was born from the dream of the "eternal boy" who gave it its name: the enthusiasm of a child, the perseverance and dedication of an adult. Enrico, dedicating every free moment to his passion, was able, step by step, to break away from the routine of daily life dedicated to the computer industry to give life to his ambitious project: just over two hectares of vineyards and a cellar designed according to the most modern techniques of winemaking and storage, for a young, dynamic and advanced company. The vineyards (Vergiasca, Filadora and Righins) are located on the land of Mezzomerico, a village located between the morainic hills of the Middle Novarese, surrounded by forests and beautiful landscapes. In 2009 there was the first harvest, and the first "creature" was born in 2010.
Color: Ruby red in color with slightly garnet highlights,
Nose: the nose is intense, or with an exceptionally complex olfactory heritage that tends to prefer, depending on the evolutionary state, floral and fruity notes such as raspberry, violet and orange blossom or spicy and balsamic notes such as cocoa sweet, cedar and vanilla.
Bottling took place in September 2008 after 9 years in 25 hectolitre barrels. Garnet red in colour with brilliant reflections. The nose is distinguished above all by vanilla and cocoa, but with the second approach you can perceive the cherry and spicy, of which the prevailing clove. On the palate it is harmonious and despite the long lasting in wood the acidity balances well the tannin leaving the mouth "clean". It is very persistent, with an aftertaste of chocolate, licorice and anise.
Characteristics of the vineyards: clayey soil in the municipality of Mezzomerico, south-east exposure at about 200 m a.s.l. Great importance to the cultivation of the vineyard, strict manual selection of grapes both in the vineyard and in the cellar, destemming, crushing, fermentation and maceration in stainless steel for 10 days, three daily pumping over and a delestage repeated 4 times. Controlled temperature 25-28°C. Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel.
Taste: the "hard" components (acidity, tannins, salts) are pleasantly balanced by the "soft" ones (alcohols and polyalcohols), with exceptional intensity and persistence that make Nebbiolo a powerful, elegant wine with a great personality.
It goes perfectly with braised meats, roast red meat, game, game, truffle foods, hard and aged cheeses.
