Profile: this wine is named after Giuseppe (“Pin”) Rivetti. The vineyard is located in Neive, Barbaresco. Pesticides or herbicides are never used. The Barbera is harvested mid to late September and the Nebbiolo early to late October. The fermentation of both grape varieties takes place separately for 7-8 days at a controlled temperature. The malolactic fermentation takes place in completely new French oak barrels for 16-18 months. The two wines are then mixed and kept for two months in stainless steel barrels. Afterwards the wine ages for another 15 months in the bottle. This wine is sold three years after the harvest.
Aroma: A juicy, delicious and complex core of raspberry, boysenberry and mulled wine berries.
Taste: A strong acidity and ripe dark fruit, complemented by the elegance of the Nebbiolo.
Alcohol content: 14%
