Profile: Clerico is one of the biggest wine producers in Piedmont. The vineyard has a north-eastern exposure and is located at an altitude of 350 metres above sea level. The soil consists of clay and the vines are on average 25 years old. The maceration takes place in rotary macerators at a controlled temperature and lasts for 10-14 days. The wine ages in barriques, 70% of which are new, for 16 months. It goes very well with pasta and risotto.
