Category: Barbaresco DOCG
Profile: Asili is one of the historical vineyards of Barbaresco and is located in the southern part. The soil is particularly rich in limestone and marl with some reddish yellow sand. The vineyard is 0.22 hectares with vines that are at least 50 years old. The grapes are harvested in October by hand. Fermentation takes place in only large wooden barrels for ten days. The wine matures about five years in neutral oak barrels. Production is limited to around a thousand bottles.
Aroma: sweet aroma of red ripe fruits and violets with a touch of liquorice and coffee
Taste: dry, elegant and well structured, very fresh and tannic.
Alcohol content: 13.5%.
