Profile: this extraordinary wine received 94 points from the Wine Advocate, 93 from the Wine Spectator, 92 from Tanzer IWC and 93 from James Suckling. The 6.5 hectare vineyard is located in Neive, the most famous area where Barbaresco is made. The grapes are harvested from early to mid-October. The alcoholic fermentation lasts for 7-8 days at a controlled temperature. The malolactic fermentation then takes place in new French oak barrels for 20-22 months. Afterwards the wine ages for three months in stainless steel barrels and for 12 months in the bottle. The wine is sold three years after harvesting.
