3 days Luxury in Wine & Food
This wine tour is fully accompanied during the 3 days, equipped with all transport from arrival to departure, including all excursions, overnight stays, drinks with meals and everything mentioned below.
We make maximum use of the available 3 days with 2 nights.
This trip is very consciously organized with a small group of max 8 participants. Flights via Milano Malpensa
Program of the three day wine tour with arrival Milano Malpensa
Day 1 - Alto Piedmont, Asti & Barbaresco
8h30 - pick up in Milano Malpensa
Omstrreeks 10u30 - Visit of winery Enrico Crola - subject to availability on the day of your departure
Around 12:30 - Light Lunch 2 dishes in one of the restaurants that focuses on the combination of flavours.
Around 2.30 pm - Visit of Vicara, well known for their Grignolino in both basic version and their topper, which is wood bearing but also their Freisa and the Barbera grape varieties are special. Top is the fact that they have their own infernot, church and cantina that looks like 100 years ago.
Around 16h00- Departure to the Barbaresco area where we realize a walk along the top of the Barbaresco area with a top of the wine world.
Around 17h00 - Continuation of the Barbaresco theme day with the final tasting of Nebbiolo & top Barbaresco/Nebbiolo followed by a tasting of cooked meats at Firsts Filet.
Around 18:00 - Departure to Cherasco for check-in in hotel Monastero Cherasco, Boutique Style hotel, toplevel, luxury room for 2 persons or 1 person. Before check-in we realize a guided walk through Cherasco.
Around 20h00 - On foot to the Slow Food restaurant which offers an interpretation of local dishes (4 course menu/pairing wines/water) or Apero Cena at the winegrower's with a tasting of his dishes.
Day 2 - Barolo - Wine of King
After a very nice buffet breakfast, this day is entirely dedicated to Barolo, several cantinas with a distinctly modern or traditional character depending on who we visit.
From 08h45 - Tour along Verduno (viewpoint), Roddi, Grinzane Cavour where we focus the first part of the day on the cultural aspect.
Around 11h00 - Visit of Sordo Giovanni cantina and vertical tasting of Barolo Wines.
Around 1 pm - Light lunch (2 dishes/wine/water)
Around 15:00 - Visit of the new cantina of L'Astemia Pentita and tasting Barolo Cannubi
Around 17:00 - Return to Cherasco, walking, tasting the authentic Baci di Cherasco and other hazelnut specialities in the Pasticceria Barbero with an unchanged decor since 1880.
Around 18h00 - Visit and tasting of Cantine Fracassi wines (also Barolo), walking
Around 20h00 - Gastronomic dinner in a unique setting, 8 courses with pairing wines in Michelin star restaurant, in the atmospheric setting of a beautiful Palazzo, with Venetian chandeliers and frescoes or visit of an Osteria with local dishes brought in a contemporary gastronomic jacket.
Day 3 - Roero on Top
After breakfast the focus of this day is on the Roero area.
Around 9.30 a.m. - visit to a cheesemaker who has the level of Van Tricht Kaasaffineurs from Antwerp but only realizes this in a setting from 70 years ago. Magical how professinality on top and still standing still in terms of decor as a result offers
Around 10.30 am - visit by Poderi Vaiot or Antica Cascina dei Conti di Roero or other producer, subject to availability.
Around 12.30 pm - Light lunch 2 course menu with wines, water
Around 2.30 p.m. - Departure to the Centovigne winery
About 5.30 p.m. - Apero Cena (1 hour)
A few remarks
- The plane ticket will be reserved for each individual.
- The restaurants for dinner are chosen in such a way, within walking distance 5 minutes from the hotel, that everyone can go straight to the hotel after dinner or continue to reminisce.
